Mesa Falls, Idaho

We had to take my laptop back to Best Buy in Idaho Falls again today as it is still getting really hot.  We decided to make the best of it and stop at a couple of places we wanted to see. Our first stop was lunch in Driggs, Idaho at the WarBirds Cafe at the Airport. We will have to return again as they have a bunch of vintage planes that have been restored. We didn't have time today for that. The restaurant, however, is the best airport food ever -- wonderful salads and sandwiches. For more information see:

After we ate we continued on to Mesa Falls. We stopped at the Upper Falls today as they are the most scenic. The Upper Mesa Falls are very impressive and we couldn't believe they hadn't been converted to making electricity since they have been owned by two electric companies before becoming state owned.

Lots of Board walks and viewing platforms for the falls.

Trail let us back to the Visitor Center
After we visited the falls we headed to Idaho Falls where we dropped my (Mary's) laptop off at Best Buy. They have already had it once and gave me a new battery and said they cleaned out the laptop as it had a lot of dust that could cause the overheating. Well, it is still overheating so now they have to send it somewhere to get it fixed. That will mean another two hour drive over here to pick it up!

Since we were here, we did a bit of shopping and we had dinner at Chick-Fil-A which is our favorite fast food restaurant. Fast food is not the idea of the day in Jackson. If I remember right, they have two fast food places: McDonalds and Wendy's. However, there are a ton of other restaurants in Jackson offering every kind of food possible. Of course, the prices are more than what we've been used to.  Even so, we've been trying a new one every week.
