Yesterday as we were driving over to our favorite restaurant here in Yuma, we came across a Long Billed Curlew just standing in a yard digging for whatever they eat. Luckily, I had my camera with me and was able to get his picture.

DaBoyz Pizza
Since we are staying in Yuma again, we have been enjoying DaBoyz Pizza. The crust is wonderful. The sauce is really tasty and we enjoy getting a Ham and Pineapple Pizza whenever we go there. It is our favorite!
And when we want spaghetti, they have the best. Love that sauce! and the garlic bread is great too!

Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge
We finally arrived at the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge at 4:00 PM. It was a long drive! There is no Visitor Center here but they did have an area where they fed the birds and an area where you could stand way above the trees and look out to see what you could see. Of course, there were miles of trails but we were too pooped to pop by the time we arrived and just took advantage of the area close to the Visitor Center.

Lunch at Last in Salton City, Arizona
We finally arrived in Salton City which was a good thing because we were both starving. We didn't take anything but snacks in the car and not enough of them! We actually drove the whole day without filling the car with gas. We made it home without filling up so that was nice. we arrived here about 2:15 PM.
Continuing our Journey Toward the Salton Sea
We are continuing our journey to the Salton Sea and are now on Country Road S2 heading toward Salton City and lunch.
