The Longwood Mansion was the dream of Dr. Haller Nutt and is also known as Nutt's Folly. The first floor was the only one that was finished. As the Civil War started and all the workmen left and joined the war effort.
Dr. Hall passed away and his family lived in the first floor after his death. There are five levels to this home.
It certainly would have been a beautiful place had it been finished but I think you would need to have an elevator shaft for more than food delivery!

This house would have been fabulous when completed although an elevator would have been handy!
