Our next stop today was the War of 1812 Monument at MP 426.3. We parked in a parking space next to the roadway and walked a path up to it. This Monument is dedicated to memorializing the soldiers who fought in the War of 1812 and are buried along the Old Trace.
As we drove along the Trace, we saw these wild turkey just meandering around without a care in the world.
