Sandusky, Ohio

Since the day was still young, we decided to head over to Sandusky and see what we could see of the famous Cedar Point Amusement Park.  We weren't interested in paying to get in but just wanted to get a glimpse of it.  Somehow as you get older, parks full of thrilling rides just aren't as appealing as they were when we were kids!!

We didn't intend to but while trying to skirt the park, we actually ended up in the line to buy tickets but we told the attendant that we took the wrong road and we were able to get turned around.  At least I was able to get a picture of some of Snoopy's friends in topiary form because of our mistake!

Battery Park Marina Breakwater

We drove over to Battery Park Marina which is across from Cedar Point to get the pictures of the Amusement Park.

We walked out to the end of the breakwater just to see what we could see.  Lake Erie was quite calm today and we had beautiful blue skies.  Wonderful day for a walk!

We headed home but made one last stop at the Walmart in Elyria for some groceries.  It's been a great day of exploring!
