Sight And Sound Theater Presentation of "Jesus"

Today we headed to Pennsylvania Dutch country where horses and buggies are as prevalent as cars and wonderful home-cooked food is available everywhere. We went with Joy and John, Lyn and Sai, and Peggy, Jay and Karen and started at the Bird-In-Hand Bakery and Cafe for some breakfast rolls and Shoo Fly Pie.

Then we stopped at a few shops in town before going to the Sight And Sound Theater in Ronks, PA, a short drive from Bird-In-Hand through Amish farm country. This theater - and its sister theater in Branson, Missouri - presents plays exclusively based on characters and events from the Bible. You can learn more about the theater here: https://www.sight-sound.com/location/lancaster

Peggy and Jay bought tickets for all of us to the performance of Jesus, the current play at the theater. It was a wonderful play.

After the play, we drove to the Shady Maple Smorgasbord for supper. Shady Maple is a HUGE buffet that can seat 1200 diners! They serve every Pennsylvania Dutch dish you can imagine and offer numerous other cuisines. It is home-cooking culinary nirvana! Oh, and in the basement, there is a 40,000 sq ft gift shop!
