Custer State Park Wild Life Loop

Once we had our driver's licenses, we headed to Custer State Park to find the Bison.

Our first sign of wild life on the loop - some Prong Horn Antelopes

Then we saw some Mule Deer

More Prong Horns

We saw the wild burros a long way off.  We were hoping they would be close to the road like we've seen them in the past.  They just wouldn't cooperate.

Then as we were getting to the end of the Wild Life Loop when we finally came across the whole herd of bison as they crossed the road.

There were a lot of calves born this season

After the whole herd passed in front of us, we went on our way back to our campground.

Another deer

We drove by this lake as the sun was setting

It was the end of a long day and Jayden was really ready to head to bed.
