Hiking the Lakeshore Trail

Today was a gorgeous day with blue skies and temperatures in the 70's and it may have gotten into the 80's. We decided to take a hike along the Lakeshore Trail at Colter Bay.

Our first stop was for fuel in Jackson. I took a picture of the ski slopes from the gas station.

Then we drove over to Colter Bay and walked around the gift shops a bit. We had lunch in the park and then we headed to the Lakeshore Trail. We took it and then found a trail that took us to an island so we walked across and circled the island and then went back the same way we came. The scenery is so gorgeous here that getting a bit of exercise walking is pure pleasure!

JACKSON LAKE

We saw an owl in this tree but he wouldn't show his face!
When we were getting close to home, the bison were back out on Gros Ventre Road so we had to watch them for awhile.
Love the little calves
