Basilica of San Albino in Mesilla, New Mexico

San Albino is one of the oldest parishes in the Mesilla Valley and the Basilica is located in the Town Square of Mesilla.

It was established by order of the Mexican government in 1851. In 1906, the present building was constructed on the foundation of the original adobe church.

The bells of San Albino date to the early 1870s. established by order of the Mexican government in 1851.

Before we left the Cathedral, we lit a candle for my Mother as I know she would like us to remember her in this way.

In the back yard of the Basilica Gift Shop, they are currently constructing a Columbarium. It isn't quite done yet but we took some pictures.

After we toured the Basilica, we did some shopping in the square and had some lunch.
