Setting Out on 30 Day Vacation with Tommy and Addi (Two of our grandchildren)

We have tried to take each of our grandchildren on a trip with us over the years. This time we are heading East to see their Grandpa's family in Pennsylvania so we thought it would be a good time to take two of our youngest, Tommy and Addisyn, with us so they could meet some of their Grandpa's family and vacation on the way out and back.

So today, we started the 30 day trip with Tommy and Addi. We met them and their farewell party at the Walmart in West Des Moines. They had a Father's Day Brunch at Danica's before we left. We took a bunch of pictures there and then headed out to visit Dan (Mary's brother) and Linda at their house in Burlington.

After many goodbyes and lots of advice from parents to children, we were on our way. First stop: Burlington, Iowa to visit my brother, Dan, and his wife Linda.
