Imperial Valley Wildlife Refuge

Today we set out to explore the Imperial Valley Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is on the Colorado River about 20 miles North of Yuma. It is adjacent to Martinez Lake. The roads throughout are unimproved and mostly dirt. We didn't have any trouble. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to drive through it. As usual, I took way too many pictures!

The Visitor Center was closed today much to our dismay, however, the restrooms were open and that was good!
