Lake Sakakawea State Park

We went to the Upper Soulis River National Wildlife Refuge accessing the river at a point where North Dakota 28 crosses the Soulis River. We attempted to go further up the river but we got unto unpaved roads that were muddy because of rain and we abandoned the attempt and went to Lake Sakakawea State Park.

These are pictures from the Upper Soulis River National Wildlife Refuge.

Since the roads got to muddy to travel any further, we left for Lake Sakakawea State Park. Here is the sign telling us we have one-half mile to go.

We wouldn't mind having any of these boats that were in the storage area of the park.

You can tell that we are in a drought season!
