Day 7: Stop 1: Grand Village of the Natchez Indians

We spent quite a bit of time in this village. It was quite  interesting. This site was inhabited from 22 AD to 501 and encompasses a prehistoric indigenous village and earthwork mounds. It includes three platform mounds that were constructed about 1,200 BC by members of the prehistoric Plaquemine culture.
