Sonneberg Mansion

This morning we decided to head over to see Sonneberg Mansion and the gardens since it is such a beautiful day.  After we purchased our tickets we headed straight for the mansion to get into the next tour.  The mansion is a 40 room Queen Anne mansion which was built between 1885 and 1887 by New York City bank financier Frederick Ferris Thompson and his wife, Mary Clark Thompson as a summer home.  They named the estate "Sonneberg" which is German for "Sunny Hill."
