San Angelo Old Town

Orient-Santa Fe Train Depot

Our first stop today was to the Old Town area of San Angelo.  We started at the Train Depot which, of course, is one of Lee's favorite places to visit.  The have done a good job of restoring things in the area.  They have several Railroad cars on display that you can look at and climb on to see what you can see.  Unfortunately, the Train Depot wasn't open to see the inside today.

There are a lot of murals all around San Angelo.  This building had four of them on it.  They are really gorgeous!

We loved how they converted the old Freight Depot into a Senior Center.  I would have liked to walk inside and see what it was like inside but it isn't like it is a tourist attraction!  It was a very short walk from the Train Station to these restored and relocated historic buildings.  They are restored on the exterior and various companies carry on their business inside.
