Riverside Club in Mission, Texas

We drove over to McAllen shopping for a bed and bought a Sleep Number bed to be delivered next week. We had a Sleep Number bed many years ago and loved it. So, we'll be happy to see it when it arrives.

To celebrate our new purchase, we drove over to Mission to get the scrumptious tenderloins that the Riverside Club serves. It was sure a different atmosphere after the season is over. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant but us, however, we didn't get there until about 3 PM.

They have made a lot of improvements and so I took a few pictures of those. It used to be that you came here either for the tenderloins or the boat trip and tour on the Rio Grande River. Now there is also a huge ballroom that is busy all season.

Riverside Dreamer Cruise

We try to take at least one Riverside Dreamer Cruise a year. The cruise is very interesting because the Captain knows what's going on as far as migrants in this part of the world and has a lot of interesting stories. It is also just a beautiful cruise. The Mexican side of the border has a lot of little resort communities and big mansions to view. Our side is wild and wooly as it has been designated a nature preserve. Of course, the other reason we come here is for their huge and very tasty tenderloins. Can't go home before we have one of those.

Since we are the Activity Directors this season at Southern Comfort, we scheduled this trip so everyone else that might want to go could.

It wasn't as bright out as we would have liked but it wasn't cold either so it was a good trip and the tenderloins were awesome!
