Before leaving the Belvedere Walmart lot (where we'd spent the night) this morning, we called ahead to our next campground - the KOA serving Coloma/St Joseph, MI - to see if they could accommodate us arriving a day early. Though they reported much of the same rain as Union had experienced, they assured us they could accommodate our change in plans and felt we wouldn't have any trouble getting into our site. It was a little muddy and there was a big puddle at the entry to our site but the ground was solid and we managed to get situated in time to join the Ice Cream Social the campground was sponsoring. Obviously, the kids enjoyed that unexpected treat.
