A DAY AT THE ADKINS HOUSE

We just hung out today and I took a few pictures. It is a little more noisy and a little more lively here than at our house! lol

I don't know how he can sleep with all the noise!

Evening with Chance, Danica and Liam

I finally went out and took some pictures of the Adkins Homestead. This is their first non-rental home and it is really nice! To say the least, they have a lot more room than they ever had. I'm just glad I don't have to clean it!

You can see that we are parked in their driveway and hooked up to electricity. We had a bedroom in their house and we tried it out, but decided we would stay in the trailer instead. The bathroom is a lot closer and everything we need is where we can find it. So we spent bedtime in the camper and the rest of the time in the house.

We played a couple games of Pegs & Jokers with Chance and Danica today. Later on Chance made us a grilled pork chop dinner with corn on the cob. There is nothing like Iowa sweetcorn! Everything was delicious!

They have a pet since the last time we saw them. His name is Rocky but Danica sometimes calls him Devil Dog! He looks so sweet here!

Okay, this is Danica's displeased look. Someone is in trouble!

Oh, now we can tell who is in trouble!

Now I am in trouble with Chance for taking pictures but he might as well adjust. It has been TWO years!

Later in the evening we watched the end of the Harry Potter "Prisoner of Askaban" and the beginning of "Goblet of Fire" on Netflix.

Liam's Flag Football Game

This morning we started out by heading to Liam's Flag Football Game. It was a cool day so the spectators were all in jackets or coats. However, the kids that were playing were in shorts and tee shirts. Of course, they were getting some exercise.

Shopping, etc.

Today we spent the day shopping with Danica and Kids. We were looking for various things for the trailer like spice jars and a collapsible dish pan. We went to several stores but had no luck. We had lunch at Chick-fil-A.

Later on Danica drove us over to The Container Store and then I finally found the Collapsible dish pan and the spice jars!

We dropped Tommy off at West High for their Homecoming Game and then we went to Costco with Danica.

Bandanas for Dinner with Paul and Pat

We were happy that Paul and Pat could get together with us again before we left. We met at Bandanas for dinner and conversation. We like the ribs at this small restaurant in Cedar Rapids

Spending Time With Paul & Pat

This morning Barb and I went out to do some shopping for a girlfriend who had some surgery and needed some clothes that were easy to put on. We dropped the clothes off at her house and then went back to Barb's.

Lee and I went off to buy me some socks because it is cold around here and my feet were freezing! Then we headed over to my brother Paul's house to visit with them.

Paul spends a lot of time gardening and his back yard is just beautiful. Unfortunately, it was rainy today so I didn't get any pictures of it this time around.

We had Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner and it was really good. Our nephew, Justin, was home for a visit so we were blessed to see him while we were there.

Something was funny besides Lee's face as I took this picture!

After dinner we played I don't know how many games of Pegs & Jokers but it was several hours worth.

It was great to see them and we hope to get together with them again before we head out of CR.
