After we left Jean and Mark's place, we decided to wander over to Sucker Creek preserve and take a short hike.
Sucker Creek Preserve is 64.24 acres and a remnant of Minnesota’s original post-glacial maple-basswood forest. As we wandered around the topography of the preserve changed from woods, to prairie and even some swamp. We had to turn back on the trail as we couldn't do it all in one day and we didn't have a full day. Not to mention that my feet were rebelling by the time we made it back to our SUV. I wasn't in tennis shoes!
