Leonabelle Turnboll Birding Center

We were sure glad we decided to check out what was happening at the Turnboll Birding Center. We were blessed to come on the day that the American White Pelicans arrived and there were hundreds of them! We've never seen so many. Then we came across an American Bittern which are very rare and we saw Spoonbills and Ibises. And, right when we were leaving we came across one huge sleeping alligator. And, finally, we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous sunset. We couldn't leave until the sun hit the water!

These are at the entrance to the wetlands

We were sooo lucky as the pelicans have migrated this way and there were too many to count.
