On December 2nd, we went
over to McAllen to watch the Holiday Parade. Last year the weather was awful
and cold. This year it was perfect. It was in the 70's with a
light breeze. If you haven't ever gone to his parade, you are missing a lot. It
really is done well and Santa comes by at the end. This year he was in a float
that threw snow at us. At least it looked like snow but felt more like soap
suds! There are tons of huge balloons, lots and lots of school bands and what
seems like endless floats but it was fun. We have parked ourselves near the end
of the parade the last couple of years but if we decide to go again, we may try
to sit up toward the front.
Crowds line the streets for blocks and blocks
