The McAllen Christmas Parade is the largest illuminated holiday and helium balloon parade in Texas. The parade featured more than 50 vibrant lighted floats, 36 larger than life inflatable character balloons, 13 bands and a celebrity filled line-up and this year, features the musical theme of Entertainment on Parade.
The weather was much nicer last year but we were able to manage. It misted on and off and was a bit chilly. We were gad to get in the car after the parade. The traffic was crazy, as usual, but we managed to get home safe and sound!
We bought a Winter Texan car a week ago so we were actually able to invite our friends, Donna and Richard, to go with us. Before this time, we would have to invite people and then say "but you'll have to drive." This is much more comfortable! lol

The crowds for this parade are just horrendous!
The Fighting Texas Aggie Band
Lots of huge balloons in the parade!
Lots of Floats in the Parade too. They work on them all year!
And, of course, lots of different bands - most decked out with blinking lights for Christmas!
The final float was, of course, Santa Claus!
