Kootenai Falls, Montana

We headed out to see Kootenai Falls today. This was one of the things that we wanted to do last time we were in Montana but we didn't gt it done. It was a beautiful day for a hike to the falls.

First sight of the falls but they were too far away to see much. This is where the less adventureous stop and turn around. The trail goes on and gets a bit rougher after this point. We headed back to get our walking sticks and get some lunch before we went any further.

We had lunch with this bear. They had a little snack shack. I had pulled pork and Lee had a brat. After lunch we headed back out.

Just gorgeous. we love how beautiful the waters are here in Montana.

These tracks go under a tower that you climb to get on the hike. It has 64 steps 

and three landings. Then you can stand on top and the trains go right under you.
