Sleepy Hollow Cemetery

After we visited Lyndhurst, we headed over to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery as it was close.  Washinton Irving, the author of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," is buried here.   This cemetery was originally called Tarrytown Cemetery but Washington Irving requested that the cemetery be named "Sleepy Hollow Cemetery" and it was changed to honor him after his death.

After we left the cemetery, we stopped at a overlook along the road with a great view of the Hudson River.

We saw an eagle soaring over the river.

Then starvation overcame us so we stopped at the nearest restaurant, The Eldorado West.  It is another diner and there are so many diners in this area.
