Visiting with Paul and Pat

We stopped over unannounced today to see my brother Paul and, luckily, found him home.

My brother has become quite the artist since he was forced into retirement.  He makes lovely things out of recycled glass and sells it at Newbo Market and this year at the Cedar Rapids Downtown Market.  

 These wine bottle creations are lighted by solar energy.

His flowers are also solar.  I was planning on buying one of these to take back to Texas in the fall but I forgot to do it.  Hopefully, he'll still be making them next spring.

We had a good time checking out his latest creations and then just chatting.
