We started our day of exploring Montgomery at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Museum. This is a private museum and is located in the home the Fitzgeralds occupied from October 1931 to April 1932, a period of only six months. As detailed on the sign out front while in residence here, Scott worked on his novel "Tender Is The Night" and Zelda began her only novel "Save Me The Waltz".
This is a very low-budget museum and as such it disappointed us a little. It does contain much memorabilia including a collection of photographs, correspondence and samples of the couple’s literary works. It was interesting as far as it went and we got to talk to the curator for some time. He has big plans for the museum but of course it will require lots of money.
