Master Garden Walk in Cedar Rapids Iowa

On July 8th, we went with our friends, Barb and Larry, to the Master Gardens Walk. We visited those gardens that were flower gardens and skipped the raised vegetable gardens although we did see some of that. The first house we visited was a friend of Barb's who she does stained glass art. She had quite a bit of her art in her yard. The second place we visited a garden railroad in G Scale. Later we visited one of the homes that had raised vegetable beds and they had started a prairie restoration project.

I'd like to find this stand. It looks like a spider and the ball is its back.

I love Hosta but, unfortunately, in Texas it just doesn't work!

2nd Home with the Train Exhibit

I cant imagine keeping this train working with the Iowa winters!

 I love this sea monster

Lindale Lego Exhibit

We visited Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and came across a large Lego Display It had just been set up and the official opening was the next day. We enjoyed seeing them though. What a bunch of work but they did an amazing job.

I can't even imagine how long these took!

Celebrating the 4th of July With Danica & Family

We are camped in Johnston, Iowa at Acorn Valley so we decided this would be a great place to have a 4th of July picnic with the grandkids. Everyone arrived about noonish and we had a great time!
