Christmas Light at Waterford Gardens

We took the bus from Winter Ranch at 5 PM for Waterford Gardens. Waterford Gardens is an assisted living facility located in Mission Texas at 1522 East Griffin Parkway, between Stewart and Bryan roads. When we arrived we were treated to chili and cornbread. That was followed by dessert cakes and home-made fudge. We were also treated to some egg nog and other beverages including hot chocolate.

When we finished eating we took a stroll through Peppermint Lane, Swirly Twirly Gumdrop Garden and Toyland at Waterford Gardens.

When we arrived a few of the lights were on in the gardens. Then after most people had finished eating, the lights all went on in the gardens It is a dazzling display.

It was a wonderful evening and the visit really put us all in the Christmas spirit.

Sock Hop at Winter Ranch

We've been working full-time or more actually at Winter Ranch as Activity Directors and we decided to have a new activity this season so we had a Sock Hop today.  

The Chuck Wagon became the Winter Ranch Cafe today and our volunteers all dressed like the 50's.

We had burgers and chips today and a chocolate sundae.
